How We Grade Our Golf Balls

At The Learning Tee our ball grading system is easy so that you know exactly what you are getting. We sort balls into different grades based on the following descriptors.

Mint

Mint quality recycled golf balls are the best used golf balls available in the market and are the choice for many golfers regardless of skill level. These balls are perfect for tournament play as they will perform like brand new balls. They are in perfect to near perfect condition. The balls may include a corporate logo or an occasional "small" pen mark.

Grade A 

Grade A recycled golf balls are clean, playable and have moderate surface blemishes and minor to moderate ink marks. None of the surface marks or slight blemishes will affect the trajectory, distance or flight path of the ball. These balls represent great value for money and feature amongst our top sellers.

Grade B

These balls will have failed classification as Grade A due to greater pen marks, larger scuffs or heavier discolouration/fading. All the balls are still perfectly playable across all handicap levels. 

Grade C

These balls are the best value buy. While they may have surface blemishes and discoloration, they have no serious cuts or damage and are totally playable. The Learning Tee’s strict quality control ensures that no badly damaged balls make it into our stock of golf balls.
