Balwant Grewal, Founder and Director of Instruction |

|
Balwant graduated with a
Bachelor of Science degree from the National
University of Singapore in 1994 and went on to obtain
his Post-Graduate Diploma in Education specialising in
Physical Education from NTU/NIE.
Balwant’s career has spanned the areas of pedagogy,
sports development, club management, fundraising and
account management. He started his career in teaching
and was the Head of the PE Department at Nan Chiau
High School. In 1999 he was awarded the National Youth
Council-Outward Bound Singapore Overseas Training
Award to Outward Bound New Zealand in 1999 and was
concurrently appointed leader of the Singapore
delegation. |

Balwant has also headed the
Sports Departments at the Singapore Cricket Club and the
National University of Singapore Society. Prior to setting
up The Learning Tee he was the Vice-President of
Asia-Pacific Operations for an international NGO.
Balwant is a lifelong sportsman and has spent the last 8
years playing and being a student to the game of golf. He
is an Affiliate member of the United States Golf Teachers
Federation and has an NCAP (National Coaching
Accreditation Programme) Coaching Accreditation from the
Singapore Sports Council, he also possesses Adult First
Aid certification from the St. John Ambulance Association.
He is a member of the NUSS Golf Committee. Balwant is also
an Academic Associate with the School of Sports, Health
and Leisure in Republic Polytechnic specialising in Sports
Management. |
