The
Learning Tee Golf@School Instructional Program |
| |
|
Overview |
| |
This program is specially
designed for lessons to be conducted exclusively within a
school’s premises. Safety is emphasised throughout the
program. The integral values and etiquette of golf figure
prominently in this program as the game is a wonderful
medium for the teaching and learning of lifeskills.
There are 3 levels of instruction in this program,
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced with each level
leading intuitively to the next. Each level comprises 4
lessons of an hour’s duration each. All equipment needed
for training including golf clubs will be provided by The
Learning Tee.
All students who complete the Golf@School program will be
given The Learning Tee ‘Certificate
of Achievement’. |

Beginner Level
The basics of golf are covered as it relates to the rules
of the game, their equipment, grip, stance and posture.
Putting, chipping and pitching will also be introduced in
that order. The lessons are designed to be enjoyable and
will give juniors ample time to be engaged in fun filled
activities. Golfers will be introduced to the Learning Tee
Golfer’s Creed which comprises lifeskills that we strive
to imbue in our golfers.
Intermediate Level
Short game basics will be reinforced and golfers will move
on to learn the essentials of the full swing starting with
the backswing and how it leads on to the downswing and the
follow through. The basic rules of the game will be
further elaborated at this level. Golfers will have the
opportunity use the skills they have learnt in games that
simulate ‘on course’ situations.
Advanced Level
The various elements of the full swing will be reviewed
via video footage of the golfers very own swings. Golfers
will be thought to identify common swing faults and their
fixes. They will also be given the opportunity to use the
golf skills that they have learned on a ‘golf course’ that
will be set up within the school’s premises for The
Learning Tee Golf@School Competition. |
